Our Phytoplankton Blend is an excellent addition to the bottom of the food chain in your aquarium’s ecosystem. It is ideal for feeding small aquatic creatures such as: copepods, rotifers, corals, oysters, clams, and brine shrimp. A single bottle of High Concentration Phytoplankton Blend can feed a medium sized tank for up to 1 year.
Each bottle contains an equal mix of Tetraselmis and Nannochloropsis in a saltwater base.

This blend is sterile and will not reproduce. Adding phytoplankton to your tank that has the ability to reproduce can be dangerous as it self-propagates, especially if your tank is exposed to direct sunlight. Our phytoplankton is the same at the cellular level, and has the same nutrients, but it cannot reproduce. Bottled phytoplankton must be kept refrigerated (will keep for 2 months) or frozen (will keep for 2 years).
To feed your tank, add 1-2 ml per 200 gallons in your tank, every couple of days.
